I agree - the mini-retirements sound awesome but yeah, probably not so simple or practical for families. Especially with young children. 

My youngest is almost 4 so it&#039;ll likely be a while before that happens for us but to have the freedom of knowing things are taken care of . . . hopefully *that* happens soon.

		<description>Hi Annie - thank you very much for the mention.  I feel much the same way you do - that I expected to have achieved more by the time I was in my thirties and I&#039;m guessing we&#039;re not the only ones.

I loved the 4 Hour Work Week.  But I&#039;m not sure that those mini-retirements are practical for families.  I would really like to get my life to a point where I was enjoying it so much that every day felt like a vacation.
