I don't know, the volcano theory sounds pretty relevant to me . . . I know if I'm not extremely diligent when I clean my desk, I can't find things for days! I got a quote from a book I read - someone who was quoting someone else: "Write with fury, correct with care" I aspire to the other two tips - an orderly workspace and scheduling stuff. I've tried all sorts of things to overcome this but can't! But I'm not sure it's a handicap. While part of what I do for a living is writing, mostly it isn't. Writing for me is fun. And I like the freedom of just writing what I feel. I can go through phases of organisation, but can't stay consistent - and believe me I've tried!
