Hi Tom,

I'm glad you stopped by.

You're right - we often do make up the stories and we certainly can write a new script anytime. It's awesome!

Hi Annie,

Thought I stop by and get to know you. Yep storeis are powerful becuase we often forget that we made up the story. We may have created it to explain a disappointment or frustration in our past. Yet by mindlessly repeating them we affect the quality of our lives.

The good news is that we can write a new script at any time and start fresh. That's delightful!

Hi Shamelle,

Thanks for stopping by! And for leaving a quick note. ;-)

I know what you mean. I'm that way too. Sometimes I'd rather just wallow in my self-pity and not be bothered.

I wouldn't say, though, that it's a thought of "there's a better tomorrow" - for me, it's more like knowing there's a reason, that whatever is going on is part of a bigger plan that I can't quite comprehend.

When things don't turn out the way I expect them to, I have to force myself to realize in the grand scheme, it's going to be ok. What seems monumental and insurmountable to me right now, will seem like a blip in the road later on.

And it will be because I learned the lesson, grew beyond what I was capable of at that moment and embraced life (and myself).

"No matter what else is going on in your life, you can learn to trust the process and know that whatever happens, is happening for a reason."
I can relate well to that.. Sometimes though when things happen I find it difficult to go past "there is a better tomorrow"

Hi Barbara -

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story!

You're so right - there are many little annoyances that just aren't worth it. That small thing could be saving your life. When my oldest daughter was a toddler, I learned not to stress over the little things - if she was doing something that wasn't going to harm herself or anyone else, even if I didn't really like it - I let her explore.

It's interesting how a seemingly benign adjustment in attitude can make such an impact on the rest of our lives, isn't it?

Hi Annie,

This sentence hit me, "...trusting that the Universe knows exactly what it’s doing. At every moment, it’s operating just as it should be. There is an underlying balance and order to all things..."

It reminds me of how some peoples lives were saved on 9/11 because of one delay or another. After hearing so many of the stories, I realized how each second of our lives is "numbered". Since then, instead of getting upset if I spill something, or have to wait for a train, I think to myself, ""this" could be saving me from being in an accident, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time". It's made all the difference in my attitude. Now I remember to say "thank you" for those pesky delays.
