		<description>Rita -

Oh goodness! I can imagine the director calling daily with those questions. Yikes! And I bet many parents would have sued, too. It&#039;s crazy what people will sue over.

Good luck with her SAT course. The Teenager will likely be taking one of those in the next year or two, I&#039;m sure.

Roots and wings . . . yep. ;-) I&#039;m so thankful they get to experience such things. Every little step is a blessing. Not that I won&#039;t be here biting my nails and all for the duration!

<description>Oh dear...for a birthday yet! I&#039;m so, so sorry, When my &quot;little one&quot; whacked her head, the camp director called us every day with two questions: &quot;How&#039;s the child?&quot; and &quot;Do you plan to sue?&quot; I&#039;m not so sure that they were in that order!

I hear you on chopping up the table. My daughter went back to camp EVERY year until last year, when she was a counselor. (The only reason she took this summer off is to take an SAT course.) She was the ONLY person at the camp - except the Director - who had her own bed every year. Not even a bottom bunk. Her own bed! Even the nurses bunked.

I just remember the terror. IN THE PARENTS. We didn&#039;t ever want to let her out of out sight again, but...well, roots and wings, right?

Glad they&#039;re BOTH OK. (Actually all 3 - your 2 and my &quot;baby.)

Rita

		<description>No worries, Rita! ;-)

I&#039;m glad you stopped to visit and comment. Thanks a lot!

And thanks for the thoughts on The Short Dude. He&#039;s doing good. What a birthday present, though, huh? (His birthday was Friday and this happened Thursday.) He slept for 13 hours Thursday night.

The doctor said it wasn&#039;t necessary to wake him every 2 hours like they used to tell parents to do so I didn&#039;t do that but I did go check in on him every now and then.

The Teenager fell and gave herself a nasty concussion and bruise on the side of her face when she was about 2. She fell off her dads lap and smacked the coffee table. She healed in no time but not the coffee table! I chopped it up for firewood and haven&#039;t had one since. ;-)

Hope you stop by again!

		<description>Annie,

I am so sorry about your little one. My little one (who is now 17!) fell out of a bunkbed onto a hardwood floor at camp. She had a horrible concussion, and had to come home for a week!

After the first 24 hours, I (and my husband) were in worse shape than she was! Once the pains and nausea disappeared, all she wanted to do was go back to camp. All we wanted to do was keep her awake! It was quite frightening.

I am happy (for the most part - lol) to report that she is a typical 17 year old, and, thank goodness, a healthy one.

I hope you know, as well, that I meant you ABSOLUTELY no disrespect at Cath&#039;s site. It has been a long day there...

Most important, may your little one feel better soon. I know how much you hurt for him.

<description>You&#039;re most welcome, Jeff. I thought it was a great article and I agreed with all of your points. It was well thought out and raised a lot of good reasons for not doing spec work.

Thanks for stopping by to comment. Nice to see you here. And thanks for wishing The Short Dude well. He&#039;s feeling pretty good today and the bruise and bump are already starting to go down.
