@Braidwood - Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Always nice to see a new face here.

Yes, the more I use the new facebook, the less I like it. There's just something missing and I think you hit the idea on the head - it used to have a block party feel and now it doesn't.

I'm going to head over and read your blog post about it. Thanks for sharing!

Come back again soon!

I don’t like the new facebook. I don’t like the new look, but the reason I haven’t been on FB in a week is that the functionality has changed. It doesn’t provide the service it did before. Very sad, because it provided a very useful service to me before: the ability to casually socialize with people I know.

It used to have a block party feel. I could look at the home page and see what people were up to. Now it has a frenetic feel. I can look at the home page and see every single activity the friend who happens to be on right now has done. Its irritating and frenetic and no longer functional for socializing.

@Cath Lawson - yeah, it is time consuming. But it's so fun too! And kind of addicting even. I started using facebook a couple of years ago during Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge and now a lot of my real life friends and family are on there so it's even more fun.

When you finally get signed up, please friend me. ;-)

You can even integrate your twitter stream.

And seesmic - the folks behind the thwirl app for twitter - are releasing a facebook client soon.

Anyway, typing on my mobile and it's not too efficient! Look me up on facebook when you get there. Would to connect with you there.

Hi Annie - I haven't got round to using Facebook yet but I just got an invite from a friend to join and I promised I would. It's just all so time consuming. I do use Twitter but I haven't really had a lot of time for that lately either.
