Over the weekend, I accidentally deleted the WordPress database for this blog while I was doing server maintenance. OOPS! So, I lost a couple of the most recent posts because for some weird reason, the database backup plugin wasn’t working which meant the last backup I had access to was from late October.
Anyway, all is well now. 
I think. If you notice anything funky on the site, please email me so I can fix it as soon as possible.
Also, if you’re reading this in your reader or email, you might want to just hop on over to the site because I made some changes. I hope you like it! Chances are, I’ll make a few more tweaks in the coming days but this is it for now.

If you’ve been to the site in the past few days, you may have noticed a new widget in the sidebar that showed up late Tuesday. It’s a subscription widget for a brand new newsletter I’ll be putting out on Friday’s beginning one week from today on August 26.
Now, the newsletter is not the same thing as subscribing to the blog posts in email. The newsletter contents will NOT be in the RSS feed or the email subscription or even posted on the blog at all. The only way to get the newsletter is by signing up for a subscription. It’s easy, painless and spam free. And as usual, your name and email will never be shared, rented, sold or given to anyone else.
Additionally, you may remember a few weeks ago when I posted about the upcoming eBook based on my 10 Rules. The only way you’ll be able to get that eBook for FREE is to sign up for the newsletter. Yes, it’s part of my diabolical plan to rule the world. LOL Just kidding, of course.
Seriously, though, it’s just part of my plan to help you lead a kick-ass life and do wicked good epic shit.
By the way, if you haven’t seen my new mission statement page and my new about page, go take a look at them. You’re going to see many changes around here as I push things into high gear. We are going to have a lot of fun, do great things and together, we’ll take our lives to the next level.
You’ll probably notice that I’ve changed things to be less formal around here. Frankly, I’m not a formal person – it always felt a little forced. In reality, I’m a very laid back, easy going and yet blunt person who likes to have fun. I hope you’ll come to see over the course of our time together on the blog, that I fully believe and live the 10 Rules every day.

A badass trailblazer is someone who has integrity, self-confidence, strives for excellence, stands up for what’s right, owns their mistakes, takes responsibility, knows when to walk away, is well-informed and educated.
In essence, a badass trailblazer is someone who has their shit together.
Realize I’m not talking about a badass as in a “bad boy” or “bad girl” image. You know, the guy or gal from the wrong side of the tracks. The one who doesn’t care that what they’re doing is harmful or hurtful to someone else. Someone who is out of control. The one with the reputation that everyone tells you to stay away from.
No, I’m talking about a badass in the sense that he or she fully has their shit together. They know where they’re going and what they want and even though they may be afraid now and then, they go after it anyway.
They live with honesty and integrity. They stand up for themselves and for others, especially when there’s been a wrong committed. They’re kind, compassionate, strong. Know where they’re going and exactly what they want out of life. They work hard and give everything they do 100% of their time, attention and effort. They’re loyal, punctual and fun to be around.
They’re not flakey or fake. They don’t do a job half-assed. They don’t go off half-cocked.
A badass trailblazer is a strong leader. Someone who encourages and motivates others. Someone who takes the road less traveled, the unknown path. Someone who isn’t afraid to be different, to have fun and let loose, too.
That is a true a badass trailblazer.
And that’s who I aspire to be. Even though I’m pretty close, there’s always room for improvement and I’m not afraid to refine things or adjust course when necessary. In fact, I’d say that if you’re not willing to adjust and refine, then you’re going to move forward. That’s what moving forward is – it requires change, growth and action to make happen.
To help facilitate that change, not only for myself but for you, I’m putting together a short eBook, probably around 50 pages or so, all about how to use my 10 Rules for Being a Badass Trailblazer. It’s all about what they mean and how to implement them into your life.
I had first planned to create a full-detailed blog post out of each one but then, I decided what the heck! I’ll make it an eBook. A FREE eBook, in fact.
Yeah, thought you might like that!
I hope to have it finished within the next few weeks. And I’ll post it right here on the blog for you to download as soon as it’s ready.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the posts I have set up for you. I’ve written many of them in advance so I can concentrate on finishing the eBook.
Of course, I’ll be around and available via email if you need anything.

Just wanted to let you all know that the Disqus comment system seems to be having a fluke so no comments are showing up. Hopefully it’s just a system issue and will be working again soon.
In the meantime, I’ve disabled Disqus. The nice thing about that, though, is that now CommentLuv works! I truly do wish CommLuv would get on the ball and make their plugin compatible with Disqus. That would be awesome!
UPDATE MAY 31, 2011 – Disqus is again working correctly and has been re-enabled.
Still wishing for CommentLuv compatibility, though . . . .
