Prosper 2012

Prosper 2012

I just realized that I didn’t post my ThemeWord for 2012 yet. Usually, I do this in the early days of January or just before the New year. And here it is already the 13th of February and I haven’t done it yet. So . . .

2012 is all about PROSPER. Last year, my ThemeWord was SHINE and 2010 was CREATE. A lot of good things came from both of those (as well as previous years) and I expect 2012 will be no different. Everything I do this year will lead towards that one thing – to PROSPER. Not just financially (although that is certainly part of the equation) but also to PROSPER in spirit, body, mind and in relationships with others.

I’d say we’re definitely off to a good start! In January, I more than doubled my monthly income from 2011 so already there are big shoes to fill for the rest of the year. But with the way things are going, I do not see that as a problem! It all looks good, indeed. ;-) And I’m so excited!

Plus, I have a lot of things in store for this year but I’m not going to spill the beans just yet. I’m still working away on the project which I hope to share with you sometime in March or early April. We’ll see how things go in the coming weeks.

Anyway, lots to do today but I just wanted to take a break and share my ThemeWord for 2012 with you.

What is YOUR goal for the year? Please share it with me in the comments.

Until next time . . . keep blazin’

Wishing you success, love + fire in your belly . . .

Stop SOPA

Stop SOPA

Hi there,

You’ll notice if you go to the blog in the next 24 hours, it’ll redirect to a strike site about the SOPA bill that US Congress is trying to pass. Lots of folks like me on the ‘net are protesting by making our sites ‘go dark’ . . . so don’t be alarmed!

I’ll be back very soon with some new stuff. I promise!

Until then . . . keep blazin’!

Happy new year!

Happy new year!

Wishing you health, peace, love and prosperity all year!

I’ll be back later today with more.

Until then, keep blazin’

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

Because it’s nearly Christmas, I’m sharing with you the letter that inspired the Christmas Classic “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”

It’s a wonderfully inspiring letter and I hope it brings you a bit of holiday cheer, regardless of which holiday you celebrate, be it Hanukkah, Kwanza, Christmas, Yule or any other.

Until next time . . . keep blazin’!

Wishing you success, love + fire in your belly . . .

P.S. –> Went to the doctor yesterday for a follow up on my thumb, and my blood pressure is even better than it was 2 weeks ago @ 114/74. ;-)

========================================

“DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
“Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
“Papa says, ‘If you see it in THE SUN it’s so.’
“Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?

“VIRGINIA O’HANLON.
“115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET.”

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
