He He He
I remember when VCRs were new. I remember a time (1986?) when I would walk to the local "Country Fair" convenient store to RENT a VCR and some tapes with my mom :) I remember maybe 4 short years later when we came to own our own and they were becoming more and more mainstream.

I giggled joyously as my grandmother preformed the sacred ritual of the setting of the blinking 12:00 on the front VCR panel. She was annoyed at the new fangled movie contraption that she couldn't quite grasp or see the need for.

When I think of the mobile devices of which you speak, I suddenly become my grandmother. I have a cell phone. I went to a friend's house for the day one day and one of my kids was ill at school and they couldn't find me. The next day, I got a pre-paid, rechargeable/disposable phone. I charged it with $20 worth of minutes and never charged it again until 1 year later. LOL Now I carry it. I charge it so little that the wireless company encourages me to load it by sending me free minutes...

I'm really not sure what my point is besides to say I feel like a dinosaur now. LOL
xoxo~
