Welcome back! Coffee's always on around here. Pull up your favorite chair and a grab a cup. Enjoy your visit today! And don't forget to stop back by again soon.
Nearly every day for the past week I’ve found a penny lying “heads up” on the ground on my way back from walking The Teenager to the bus stop in the morning. (Yes, I walk her to the bus stop – it’s over a half mile away and at 6:30 in the morning, it’s not very light.)
I’m not quite sure what the pennies mean but I know it means something.
See, it’s not the first time it’s happened – that I’ve found pennies lying around for days in a row. And every time it’s happened before, it has had some significance. Like the last time – we were looking at our house and we came by on several occasions to look around, check things out, get a feel for the house and every time we came by, there was a penny lying the floor or in the window sill somewhere. The house was vacant at the time.
We took it to mean it was the right house for us.
Now, I don’t know what these pennies mean this time. They’ve been outside around the corner from our house between here and the bus stop and frankly, I’m perplexed by it. I have no idea yet what the Universe may be trying to tell me.
But my eyes and ears are open and I’ll keep watching with eager anticipation.

Ha. I am SO into science and facts and everything that can be proven.
But I have several blogging friends who are much more spiritual than I am.
I guess you are too!

You know Ann, now that you’re “looking” for pennies, you will continue to find them. I think it has something to do with the law of attraction.
I remember hearing a story of a very wealthy man who would always pick up coins he saw on the street, look at them and then smile. When asked why he did (because he didn’t NEED more money), he said it’s because the coins are stamped with “In God We Trust”. That story warmed my heart.
I also remember hearing stories of feathers. If you found a feather it meant that an angel was in your midst. Right after I heard the story, I kept finding feathers. Makes me wonder……..

You know, I think there’s some truth to that.
Have you ever heard “What you focus on expands?”
Yeah, it could be like that. We see them because we look for them. I heard a story before where someone bought a new car, say a Ford Focus. And before they bought that car, they said they hardly ever saw any. But after they bought it, they noticed Ford Focuses everywhere.
Were there more Ford Focuses on the road? Probably not. It’s just that s/he had brought them into their awareness by buying one and now noticed them more readily.
Then again, I don’t believe in coincidence. I think everything happens for a reason.
Who knows for sure? And yeah, it kinda makes me wonder too.

Hi Vered,
Thanks for stopping by and for commenting! Nice to see you here.
I like facts and things that can be proven too but there are some things that I just accept on faith. Like I said to Barbara – I don’t believe in coincidence, either. I think everything happens for a reason and just as it’s supposed to.
And you’re right – I tend to be rather spiritual. Religious, though . . . no.
Hope to see you again sometime!

Hi Annie. I have heard stories of pennies appearing to show loved ones that a love-lost (passed on) was thinking of them. I know that you have to believe in that stuff, but I think it’s pretty neat. Like Barbara said, it could also be The Law Of Attraction.
Nice story.
Jennifer,
Oh! You’re right! I’ve heard that too and forgotten it.
That makes me wonder . . .
I’m still finding them – as well as a couple of dimes – in odd places whenever I’m walking somewhere so something is certainly going on. Still no clue what.
Thanks for stopping by. Always great to ‘see’ new faces!
