Hi Cath -

Thanks! I do like it too. It's fresh, open, and fun.

Sick is not fun, though. I have to be very careful and take care of myself so whatever I've got doesn't get into my kidneys.

Yes, I was diagnosed with a kidney disease when The Teenager was a baby. I ended up in the hospital when she was 6 weeks old with a kidney stone. I had several more kidney stones between then and when Gman was about 2 (he and The Teenager are 4 years apart) when they finally found out what was causing them.

But yeah - getting sick is no picnic for me. Even just a little cold can turn into a major hospital stay and I've had it happen more than once.

There are so many advantages to homeschooling. The Teenager is considering returning to it. That's a whole 'nother blog post! ;-)

Hi Annie - Your new theme is awesome - I love it.

I'm sorry you've all been sick. I didn't know you had kidney disease - being ill must make it feel a lot worse.

That is the trouble with school - the kids pick up so many germs and bring them home. I guess avoiding all that is another benefit to home schooling that I hadn't considered.
